Curriculum

At Kaimhill we are committed to developing the Curriculum for Excellence. To take their place in an ever changing world, children should, we believe, gain knowledge and skills for learning, for life and work.

The core to everything at Kaimhill is literacy, numeracy, and health and well-being. Children’s progress is continuously assessed to ensure they achieve their best. Our aim is to raise standards to meet the challenges of a complex world.

We aim to plan each child’s learning journey to ensure that they learn in a way which works for them, with enough challenge to stretch them. Ultimately, our aim is to improve our children’s achievements and to nurture successful learners, confident individuals, effective contributors and responsible citizens.

Curriculum for Excellence places an emphasis on children’s health and well being and at Kaimhill School we recognise achievements both in and out of school.

Curriculum for Excellence aims to achieve a transformation in education in Scotland by providing a coherent, more flexible and enriched curriculum from 3 to 18.
